Women in History: An Infograph

Inspired by the Feminism at Work artwork from Society6.com, I thought it would be cool to see an infographic of the women depicted in the artwork and a little bit about their contributions in history.
The great color scheme of the original piece shows a black-and-white half of the picture turning into vibrant color. Also, the backdrop of a city rests behind the women sitting on a construction beam high above the scenery. The gradient change is a neat way of representing the change in time these women represent; where we see Margaret Fuller all the way to Hillary Clinton, it’s funny to also note that most of these women were fighting for the same things. Although they perhaps focused on different areas in the human experience, every person wanted to work towards a world where equality was a reality. The city backdrop can represent the high number of people or all genders, ages, and races, that these women have impacted.
And most importantly, the last woman in the sequence is the woman of the future, or you reading this right now. Whoever you are, and truly, whatever your gender, you can have an impact on the world like these brave women of history did. What can you fight for? How can one person cause a wave to spread? Take any one of these people and follow their story and see just how important one’s voice can be.
